Born in vineyards on the southern shore of Lake Garda in Lombardy, Lugana I Frati di CÃ dei Frati is the symbolic wine of the company that has made it famous throughout Italy.
It is made from 100% Turbiana grapes (Trebbiano di Lugana), a great native grape variety. Vinification takes place in steel, then the wine is aged for approximately 6 months in steel on fine lees, followed by another 2 months in bottle.
Lugana I Frati is a wine with a beautiful straw yellow color. Fresh and linear, it has fine and elegant notes of white flowers, enriched with balsamic nuances, a hint of apricot, and pleasant almond tones. Over time, it evolves, expressing strong mineral notes and complex aromas of spices and candied fruit. On the palate, it is enveloping and particularly savory, balanced by a lively and voluptuous acidity.
Perfect with cold or warm appetizers with delicate flavors. Pairs well with steamed and grilled fish dishes.
